The engagement took place in early 2012. By this point, the couple had already been living together for years. It is believed that the romance of the stars was born on the set of the film “Mr. and Mrs. Smith” in 2005. Officially a couple of stars recognized themselves in January 2006, reporting that Angelina is expecting a child with Brad.
To the engagement with his beloved and mother of children Brad Pitt prepared thoroughly. According to jeweler Robert Prokop, it took a year to create the ring. It took a long time to find the center diamond: it had to be of the highest quality and “match Jolie”, look harmoniously on her hand and reflect her nature.
And such a stone was found: the ring is crowned by a rectangular diamond of 6 carats. It is surrounded by a scatter of smaller jewels, which decorate the rim. The total combined weight of the stones is 16 carats. According to experts, the cost of Pitt’s gift is estimated at $250000-500000 dollars. But what makes it even more valuable is the fact that Brad himself took part in the development of the model of the ring. Given the scrupulous attention of the client, Robert Prokop personally supervised every stage of the production of the engagement ring for Angelina Jolie. Pitt also oversaw the production.

Judging by the fact that a couple of days after the engagement Angelina happily posed for photographers and showed the jewelry – the gift was to the owner’s liking.
By the way, before the wedding, Brad Pitt presented Jolie with two more engagement rings: one of them – a family heirloom (grandmother’s ring), the second – a minimalist ring of white gold and a few diamonds. However, the official engagement ring was always considered the one with 16-carat diamonds.
In the divorce, which came in 2016, the ring, as well as other jewelry, remained with its owner. Even after the final breakup, journalists repeatedly saw the ring on Jolie’s fingers. In particular, in 2018, at one of the press conferences, Angelina was exactly in it. Apparently, the love for diamonds turned out to be the strongest.
